Christmas Vacation

So much to share! Noa had a great holiday break. She was very communicative. She did well when the schedule had to change due to weather, or Mom & Dad's work schedule, and at times would suggest changes to the schedule that made it more palatable for her. For example, she decided that she liked to walk on the Treadmill Mill before breakfast, which turned out to be a great idea that became a regular part of our Winter Break schedule.

This was the first year that Noa seemed to genuinely look forward to the prospect of opening gifts. Because it was just the three of us, we were able to open gifts at Noa's pace which was great. We brailled tags for all the gifts and Noa did a great job reading tags and giving gifts to the appropriate person.

Noa also liked putting things in the front pocket of her hooddie, especially zuzzies.
So, what did Noa get for Christmas?
  • A number of bracelets (both elastic and slap bracelets with shapes on them.)
  • A soft hoodie with ears that she likes wearing to bed.
  • Fisker hole-punches (square, circle, triangle, star) which she later used to make shapes that we ironed on shirts, and 10 hearts of different textures that we used to velcro to put in a put.
  • A Barbie Styling head to practice putting hair up - we've only used it a few times but she seems interested.
  • A shape puzzle with a timer (but we haven't tried it with the timer yet.)
  • 3 pairs of gloves, including one long pair of gloves that inspired her to ask Mommy for her arm warmers which became very popular both indoors and out.
  • Socks, pants, coins to sort, a new backpack.
